Montaasin kevään päätapahtumana toimii yhteistyössä HYY:n Leffaryhmän kanssa helatorstaina 30.5 järjestettävä kinokonsertti sekä konsertin jälkibileet. Kinokonsertissa esitetään Victor Sjöströmin mykkäklassikko Körkarlen (1921; suom. Ajomies, engl. The Phantom Carriage) ja elokuvan säestyksestä vastaa Leffaryhmän luottotrubaduuri Sampo Wiik, joka loihtii sähkökitaran ja modulaarisyntetisaattorin avulla aavemaisuudessaan elokuvan itsensä veroisen äänimaiseman. Ennen kinokonserttia tapahtuu kuitenkin jotain varsinkin Montaasin kannalta erityistä, sillä konsertin alkukuvana esitetään Montaasin viimevuotisen kaitafilmikurssin lyhytelokuvat, jotka saavat viimeinkin ensiesityksensä!
Tapahtuma pidetään klo 19 alkaen Uudella ylioppilastalolla. Elokuva esitetään talon 5. krs.:n Wilhelmsson-salissa ja näytös alkaa hyvin pian klo 19 jälkeen. Uuden alaovi on lukossa, mutta sisään pääsee koputtamalla. Jos olet tulossa pelkkiin bileisiin elokuvan jälkeen, voit soittaa numeroon 0400890979 ja ovi tullaan avaamaan. Jälkibileet pidetään samassa kerroksessa Humanistiklusterilla.
Tapahtumaan on vapaa pääsy, mutta muusikon tueksi kerätään kuitenkin vapaaehtoinen pääsymaksu.
HUOM! Wilhelmsson-sali, jossa kinokonsertti on, on alkoholiton tila. Sen sijaan Humanistiklusterilla, varsinaisten bileiden tapahtumapaikkalla, alkoholin nauttiminen on sallittua ja suotavaa.

This spring’s main event for Montaasi will be a cine concert organized together with the University of Helsinki’s Leffaryhmä (or ”Film Society” in English) and the after party of the concert on Thu 30.5. The movie shown in the cine concert will be Victor Sjöström’s silent classic Körkarlen (1921; The Phantom Carriage) and the musical accompaniment will be taken care of by Leffaryhmä’s own troubadour Sampo Wiik, who, armed with an electric guitar and a modular synthesizer, will cast a sonic background worthy of the film in its hauntingness. However, something very special will happen before the cine concert, for the short films shot during Montaasi’s film course last autum will finally receive their premiere as the evening’s first pictures!
The event will be held at Uusi ylioppilastalo (”New Student House”, Mannerheimintie 5A-B) from 19 o’clock onwards. The movie will be shown in the Wilhelmsson hall on the 5th floor starting soon after 19. The entrance to the building will be locked, but you can get in by knocking. If you are just coming for the party after the movie, you can call 0400890979 and someone will come to open the door. The afterparty will be held at Humanistiklusteri located on the same floor.
The entry to the party is free, but a voluntary fee will be collected to support the musician.
NOTICE! Wilhelmsson hall, where the cine concert is held, is a non-alcoholic area. However, at Humanistiklusteri, the afterparty venue, drinking alcohol is completely appropriate.
